International House is a period seven-storey building owned by The Crown Estate whose upper floor offices underwent complete refurbishment. Hother Associates acted as Cost Consultants.
International House comprises just over 35,000 ft2 of office accommodation on five floors with a two newly fitted reception areas. The existing windows were all fitted with secondary glazing (to English Heritage approval) and the existing lift was refurbished.
The building was fitted out with new suspended ceilings, timber floors and dry-lined wall finishes and the common parts were fully refurbished.
Complete new toilet accommodation and tea point facilities were provided to each floor to allow floor by floor letting.
Complete new electrical services were provided, together with voice and data cable distribution.
Works were undertaken whilst the ground floor retail units remained fully occupied and operational.
