Hother Associates acted for Namco Operations Europe Limited as Cost Consultants, Employer’s Agent and CDM Consultant on the fitting out of their Family Entertainment Centre in MetroCentre, Gateshead.The Family Entertainment Centre has 18 ten-pin bowling lanes, American pool tables, dodgems, children’s soft play, bars and an extensive collection of video games.

A tight contract period of 19 weeks, limited access and restricted plant placement within an existing shopping centre made for a challenging project, which was completed successfully on time and within budget.

The use of new and innovative materials and finishes and many bespoke fittings and features across the 3,600m2 internal unit created an exciting, vibrant and sophisticated setting for this successful enterprise.
